The Altar Server Ministry is a very special group of young people in our parish who have answered God’s call to ministry.  As an Altar Server, you are one of the liturgical ministers with an important role during the Mass or other liturgical services.  Servers assist the priest at the altar and help the church community worship in the best possible way.  Through their special service, altar servers are called to become closer to Jesus in the Eucharist. We invite you to share this special privilege of becoming an active altar server in the parish.

Requirements:

• Altar Servers must have a strong desire to serve at the Altar of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
• You must have received First Communion
• You must be a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church 
• You must be in Grade 5+ at the start of the current school year.
• You must attend Mass regularly with your family.
• You must be available to serve 2 or 3 times per month.

If you are a student at Holy Spirit Catholic School, you will also serve during the school masses.

You will be required to attend training meetings and rehearsals for special celebrations throughout the year.
 
Those interested in becoming an altar server must meet the requirements above and be able to attend the orientation and training sessions. In addition, servers are asked to meet the expectations of an altar server and meet the obligations to remain an active member of the Altar Server Ministry.

El Ministerio de Monaguillos es un grupo muy especial de jóvenes de nuestra parroquia que han respondido a la llamada de Dios al ministerio. Como Monaguillo, eres uno de los ministros litúrgicos con un papel importante durante la Misa u otros servicios litúrgicos. Los monaguillos asisten al sacerdote en el altar y ayudan a la comunidad eclesial a celebrar el culto de la mejor manera posible. A través de su servicio especial, los monaguillos están llamados a estar más cerca de Jesús en la Eucaristía. Le invitamos a compartir este privilegio especial de convertirse en un monaguillo activo en la parroquia.

Requisitos:

• Los Monaguillos deben tener un fuerte deseo de servir en el Altar de Nuestro Señor y Salvador, Jesucristo.
• Debe haber recibido la Primera Comunión
• Debe ser miembro de la Iglesia Católica del Espíritu Santo
• Debe estar en el grado 5+ al comienzo del año escolar actual.
• Debes asistir a Misa regularmente con tu familia
• Debes estar disponible para servir 2 o 3 veces al mes.

Si eres un estudiante de la Escuela Católica del Espíritu Santo, también servirás durante las misas escolares.

Deberá asistir a reuniones de formación y ensayos para celebraciones especiales a lo largo del año.

Los interesados en ser monaguillos deben cumplir los requisitos anteriores y poder asistir a las sesiones de orientación y formación. Además, se pide a los monaguillos que cumplan con las expectativas de un monaguillo y cumplan con las obligaciones de seguir siendo un miembro activo del Ministerio de Monaguillos.
