Parish Office The Sacristans Ministry is a group of volunteers that are responsible for the cleaning and care of the sacristy, the church sanctuary, the chapel and the articles used in the liturgies. This includes restocking candles and holy water; cleaning the church, washing articles used in liturgy and washing the server's robes. Purpose: To ensure that the altar and the clergy are represented in a way that is respectful to God. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Who Belongs: Open to all parishioners. There is a need for more men and younger people to provide assistance with some of the heavy cleaning. How Often Do They Meet: Responsibilities are rotated on a weekly basis. |
