Become a Room Representative Volunteer!
Roller Cave Skating Parties-6 per year scheduled for 8/28, 11/12, 1/10, 2/26, 4/22 from 630pm-830pm. Students & parents skate and socialize. You can volunteer by taking tickets at the door. Participation raises funds for PTO. Pizza Party for the class with highest attendance.
Trash Bag Sales-Major PTO fundraiser in September. Past years have averaged $10,000 net to PTO. You can help by selling bags, volunteering to help calculate orders, help distribute on pick up day
Harvest Hoedown- date is Friday, October 12, 2012-Trick or Trunk, Chili dinner, Pumpkin Carving Contest, games, Many Volunteers needed to help with food prep, set up, clean up, activities, donations of food. Help with games, decorating, chaperones.
Apparel Sales-Holy Spirit Logo wear and Uniforms. Sale is held a few times per year. Assist by participation, help distributing orders, assisting chair.
Schoolastic Book Fair-December 3-8, 2012 and April 16 to 20. Volunteers needed to set up, tear down, and check out cashiers who work sale.
Breakfast With Santa-Sat. Dec. 8, 2012. Volunteers needed with set up, tear down, clean up, food prep, food donations, crafts, activities, ticket collectors.
Hospitality for Teachers and Staff Events/Meetings-volunteer to bake cookies, make or donate food, drinks, and paper products. Servers needed on event days.
Welcome Committee-Veteran school families adopt a rookie family. Help by answering questions, act as resource by email and invite new families to events.
Box Top For Education Buy Box tops foods, collect labels, and turn into school. Money supports PTO fund. Volunteer through participation, counting, collection, sending to company.
Tyson Chicken Labels-Buy Tyson chicken products, cut labels and send to school. We can earn up to $12,000 a year. Help through participation, counting, and collection.
After School Activity Clubs-Sign up to host a club, serve as mentor, run club after school. Ideas such as engineering, chess, computer, scrapbooking, language club, golf, etc. Be creative.
Room Representatives- Plan Halloween and Valentine parties, assist with getting PTO events communicated to parents in your room.
Family Fun Night-Ideas and helpers needed to plan night. Coincides with Spring Book Fair.
Parents Night Out- Kids have a movie night, and snacks while parents get a few hours away. Many chaperones needed, food donations, set up, clean up.
Scrip Sales-Purchase gift cards from stores and, restaurants . Gift cards for sale in school office. Funds will help PTO playground or technology funds. Volunteers needed to sell SCRIP after school on Friday and church services.
Father/Daughter Dance- A night of dress up and dancing for girls and their dads. Chaperones, food and decorating help needed.
Annual Fund Dinner- May 9, 2013-a lovely adult dinner night. Sponsor a table or buy a ticket to attend and watch the Middle School Students put on a great show. Funds help support our school. Volunteers needed to help plan show, costumes, organizing students, music, dance, chaperones, stage help. Food prep/servers, and decorating. Set up, tear down, and clean up.
Field Day- May 30, 2013-Team games, activities, concessions. Volunteers needed to chaperone, assist activities, games, concession donations and sales.
Teachers Appreciation Week –May 20-24, 2013. A fun filled week of showing teachers and staff why it is great to be at Holy Spirit. Gifts, lunches, and pampering are provided. Volunteers needed to decorate, cover classrooms during events, teacher’s lunch, food donations. Send Thank you cards.
Holy Spirit Festival- July 11, 12, 13, 2012. Volunteer to work kiddie booths, donate prizes, give new ideas for games and activities. Silent auction also needs donated items and services offered by businesses. Enjoy the food, fun, rides, gambling, and adult beverages.
Special Person’s Day-April 18, 2013. A day to honor a special person in your student’s life. The special person enjoys doughnuts and coffee, a special program, visits the classroom, shadows your student. Volunteers needed to help with planning, serving food, donations of breakfast items.
Uniform Exchange Collects gently used uniforms for a free uniform yard sale. Volunteer to help with sorting, organizing and setting up clothes for these days.
Evening Elves-Volunteer in the school and classroom after hours. One night per quarter. Perfect for working parents to become involved. Teacher will leave to do list and elves will get it done.
Playground Maintenance and Upkeep-Volunteers needed to help clean up and repair playground equipment. A wish of many is a new playground surface and play equipment.
