Knights of Columbus
What We Offer
Imagine being part of a local organization that helps others in their time of need and, in turn, creates lasting bonds of friendships between its members.
You may know the Knights of Columbus for the Fatima Family Breakfast on the first Sunday of each month. Or, maybe it’s the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Party or New Year’s Eve Party. Perhaps, you’ve heard about local Knights walking to end abortion in Washington D.C., at the March for Life, or heard about Knights taking a Polar Plunge to raise funds for Special Needs Children. Or, maybe you read that the Council was presented a Friend of Gibault award at the 2016 State Convention for our 50 years of annual spaghetti dinners to visiting children from Gibault. (Gibault Services is located in Terre Haute, IN, and provides life-changing opportunities for children since 1921.)
Knights are Catholic men, 18 years of age and older, who are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church. Being a Knight is more than camaraderie; it is being involved with your community; it is supporting your local Catholic Church, while enhancing your own faith; it is about protecting and enhancing your family life.
Father Michael J. McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society in 1882 offering low-cost life insurance to immigrant families facing destitution if a breadwinner died.
Our Lady of Fatima Council #3228 meets weekly at the Fatima Event Center at 1040 N Post Road and serves the eastside churches of Little Flower, Our Lady of Lourdes, and Holy Spirit. All the good works we do are informed by our four core principles: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
