Mapping Our Heritage

Starting the first weekend of May, we are kicking off our Mapping Our Heritage project.  This will be a three-step project where we will be able to learn more about the many cultures and ethnicities represented here at Holy Spirit.  Upon completion of this project, we hope to create events, or acitivies where you may be invited to share you heritage with others in fun and intereactive ways.

As previously mentioned, there will be three steps in this project: Mapping Our Heritage. Surveying Our Heritage, and Narrating Our Heritage.

Past Jokes

A priest was completing a temperance homily: with great expression he said, “If I had all the beer in the world, I’d take it and throw it into the river.”

With even greater emphasis he said, “And if I had all the wine in the world, I’d take it and throw it into the river.”

And then finally, he said, “And if I had all the whiskey in the world, I’d take it and throw it into the river.”

He sat down. The song leader then stood very cautiously and announced with a smile, “For our closing song, let us sing Hymn # 365: “Shall We Gather at the River.”
